The Cormorant at 55 South, Silversea's southernmost hotel in the world, is located in Puerto Williams, Chile, the southernmost inhabited place on the planet. Opening in January 2026, it will serve as a luxurious and comfortable gateway for Antarctic expeditions, offering a seamless transition and immersive pre-embarkation experiences. This 150-room hotel, with a design inspired by local nature and the cormorant seabird, is part of a new "fly-cruise" experience that includes exclusive charter flights, reinforcing Silversea's commitment to luxury service at every stage of the journey. It allows guests to shorten their Antarctic voyage by offering luxurious accommodations before embarking on their expedition cruise. The hotel's design maintains Silversea's signature comfort and quality, featuring 150 rooms, views of the Beagle Channel or the surrounding forest, and immersive experiences in the Patagonian wilderness. It includes an exclusive charter flight from Santiago to Puerto Williams for its guests, with premium onboard services.
